New Victoria Gate Success for HEA

HEA’s Successful Victoria Gate Application
The opening of the new Victoria Gate retail scheme in Leeds may still be some months away but it is already making a positive difference to life in the city.
Nine charities and good causes have been awarded grants totalling nearly £17,000 by Victoria Gate developer Hammerson in partnership with the Leeds Community Foundation.
HEA have been successful in their application to the Victoria Gate Funds, and will be used towards providing a ‘Sing-a-long’ Group for our Service Users. This group provide an avenue for older adults to sing for the joy, health and camaraderie of song regardless of experience and expertise. No prior singing experience is required, and you do not need to read music. The emphasis is on singing for the fun of it. The only requirement for joining us is a desire to sing.
“Sometimes these organisations need only a small amount of financial support to help them achieve their goals and the Victoria Gate Fund is designed to do just that.”
Due to open in October, Victoria Gate will house one of the largest John Lewis stores outside of London.
