9th June 2017We are delighted to announce that we are one of the Co-op’s Local Community Funds. The central Leeds Co-op stores on New York St, at Westpoint and at Sovereign Square will all be raising money for Holbeck Elderly Aid and the people we support.
This means that through the Co-op’s membership scheme shoppers can contribute to the fund that HEA will be gifted.
As a member, every time you shop at Co-op, 1% of what you spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co-op Local Community Fund.
So far, Co-op members have helped raise over £14 million for local causes.
This money, together with money from carrier bag sales, supports projects close to where you live, such as Holbeck Elderly Aid!
As well as helping charities such as ourselves, members also get a massive 5% of what they spend back into their personal Co-op accounts, when they buy Co-op branded items.
As a member you get to choose the local cause you want your 1% to go to. So if you aren’t already a member, get down to your nearest Co-op to join the membership scheme for just £1 and select Holbeck Elderly Aid as your local community fund.
